These Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy relate to services provided by ‘Swim with Rebecca’ which is I, a self-employed, sold-trader, Rebecca Givens of 1 Ferguson Close, Ettington, CV37 7SF. By browsing this website, making an enquiry, making a booking, making a payment or attending a lesson or event, you are agree to the following. I reserve the right to update these terms and policies.
Terms and Conditions
121s at Stratford Leisure Centre
Lessons must be paid for in advance. Your booking is managed as per the cancellation policies of Stratford Leisure Centre (Everyone Active). If you cancel a lesson more than 24 hours before the lesson, a refund or alternative session may be offered. Less then 24 hours before the lesson, no refund will be provided. Missed lessons are non-refundable. If I cancel a lesson due to illness, pool closure or another circumstance beyond my control, you will be offered a replacement lesson or a refund. Please familiarise yourself with the Stratford Leisure Centre (Everyone Active) terms and conditions when making your initial booking and payment.
Lessons ratios are one teacher to one child. In some circumstances I will teach two-to-one, for example, siblings of a similar swim ability, but this must be discussed and agreed in advance.
Your booking cannot be transferred to another swimmer.
Parents must remain poolside and in view for the duration of their child’s lesson, for all under 18s, and remain with their child whilst on-site before and after the lesson, for example, in the changing rooms.
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, special needs, disabilities, injuries, recent surgeries, allergies or other health issues or concerns. These must be disclosed in advanced of your lesson so that the relevant risk-assessment can take place prior to your arrival. If you use an inhaler, or sometimes require any other medical equipment or treatment, please ensure it is poolside for the duration of the lesson.
Personal belongings are brought to lessons at the owner’s risk. Myself or Stratford Leisure Centre accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Parking is at your own risk.
Photography and recording are prohibited on-site unless expressly authorised.
Participants must follow the pool rules and safety instructions and behave respectfully. I reserve the right to ask any swimmer to finish their lesson should their behaviour be considered unsafe, offensive or disrespectful.

Data Collection
Through website forms, direct emails, telephone calls, text messages, WhatsApp messages or in person consultations, I may collect data, including your name, your child’s name, your email address and your telephone number. I will also collect swimmers’ medical history, previous swim experience or any other relevant information that might ensure I plan a lesson efficiently and appropriately, for example, the swimmer’s age.
I do not collect or store any data relating to payments, addresses, dates of birth or emergency contacts.
When completing website forms or sending emails, this should be done by an adult, and parents should provide details for those under the age of 18.
Data Usage
This personal information is used to respond to enquires, manage your booking, communicate about lessons and provide vital pre-visit information ahead of your lesson. Your data will not be accessed by any other individuals at my residence or elsewhere. I may, on occasion, share small parts of your data with the pool operator if necessary, for example if I need to disclose your name in order to discuss your booking with the venue Swim Manager ahead of your visit.
Data Storage
This data is stored on a password-protected device, belonging to myself, within Google Sheets – it is subject to the individual terms and policies of this third-party application.
Stratford Leisure Centre Bookings
When you complete your lesson booking and payment with Stratford Leisure Centre (Everyone Active), they will collect and store your personal information and manage your payments as per their own terms and policies. Please refer directly to their policies for more information.
Email Communication
I will use your email address to communicate vital information ahead of your visit, such as upcoming lesson availability, your lesson time and how to access the venue.
Data Retention
I retain enquiry and booking data only for as long as necessary for business, legal, accounting, safeguarding, and insurance purposes. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal information, amend it or request for it to be deleted. To exercise these rights, please email me.
Website Cookies
This website swimwithrebecca.com is hosted on WordPress with a ‘Basic’ plan. It does not utilise additional plugins, analytics, tracking scripts or re-marketing and doesn’t enable comments or social sharing buttons – it does not set any non-essential cookies. It does not provide me with any other website analytics data other than page views and the country those views are from. The only personal information gathered via this website is that submitted on website forms and is subject to the policies outlined above.
