Swim lessons in Stratford-upon-Avon

About Me

I am an experienced swim teacher who specialises in tailored learning. I design a bespoke swim programme and approach that fits the specific needs and goals of the adult or child.

In your swimming lesson with me, you will feel safe and relaxed, laugh and have fun, find your confidence, fall in love with the water and of course learn to swim!

I strongly believe that, with learning, one size does not fit all. We are all so different and learn to swim quicker when the lesson is tailored to fit our specific needs. As well as thorough objective setting and lesson planning, I am always observing my swimmers and making real-time adjustments to your lesson depending on what is working for you and your goals.

SEND-qualified and neurodivergent myself, I am an advocate for inclusivity and diversity. Studies show that children with SEND are statistically at a higher risk of accidental drowning compared to their peers. Every child deserves to learn to swim. I have supported many swimmers with ADHD, autism, PDA, EBSA, emotional needs, selective mutism, social anxiety, sensory processing disorders, Downs Syndrome, hypermobility, clubfoot, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delays, hearing loss, speech and language needs and many other conditions and disabilities.

I have a track record of teaching adults to swim, including those who had aquaphobia. My friendly personality will put you at ease and together we will work on your fears, grow your self-belief and get you swimming successfully! I have basic hydrotherapy training and often include muscular-skeletal water exercises as part of my lessons. I also have a passion for stroke development and have guided many teens and adults to learn new strokes, swim more efficiently and train for triathlons.

I’m an award-winning writer who writes swim books for kids! Check them out on Amazon.

I have 18 years experience as a marketing professional and writer. I am available for project services or consultation, especially within the swim industry.

I am fully-qualified, fully-insured and a member of both national governing bodies for swimming, the STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) and The Institute of Swimming / Swim England. I have enhanced DBS checks, am safeguarding trained and also qualified in water safety (pool rescue, first aid, CPR and poolside emergencies). I regularly attend courses and CPDs to better support my swimmers.
