Swimming lessons in Stratford-upon-Avon

About Me

I am an experienced swim teacher who specialises in tailored learning. I design a bespoke swim programme that fits the needs and goals of the adult or child.

In your swimming lesson with me, you will:

  • feel safe and relaxed
  • laugh and have fun
  • be engaged with the lesson
  • find your confidence
  • fall in love with the water
  • learn to swim properly and efficiently!

I strongly believe that, with learning, one size does not fit all. We are all so different and learn to swim quicker when the lesson is tailored to fit our specific needs. As well as thorough objective setting and lesson planning, I am always observing my swimmers and making real-time adjustments to your lesson depending on what is working for you and your goals.

SEND-qualified and neurodivergent myself, I am an advocate for inclusivity and diversity. Studies show that children with SEND are statistically at a higher risk of accidental drowning compared to their peers. Every child deserves to learn to swim.

I have supported swimmers with:

  • ADHD
  • autism
  • demand avoidance
  • anxiety
  • selective mutism
  • sensory needs
  • sensory processing disorders
  • Downs Syndrome
  • hyper-mobility
  • cerebral palsy
  • epilepsy
  • developmental delays
  • and other conditions and disabilities.

I’m an award-winning writer who writes swim books for kids! Check them out on Amazon.

I have a track record of teaching adults to swim, especially those who were initially nervous or afraid of water. My welcoming and friendly personality will put you at ease and together we will work on your fears, grow your self-belief and get you swimming successfully! I have basic hydrotherapy training and often include muscular-skeletal water exercises as part of my lessons.

My passion is stroke development. Want to learn a new stroke, swim more efficiently or train for a triathlon? Let’s improve your front crawl, back crawl or breaststroke with a programme that aligns with your personal goals.
