‘Passionate about all things swimming, teaches in an engaging, fun manner!’
‘Happy, engaging, fresh, exciting. Goes above and beyond what other teachers have done before.’
Teaching Locations
I teach group lessons at Swim Works in Leamington Spa on Tuesdays and Friday evenings.
From September will join the swim teaching team at Bloxham School in Oxfordshire, ensuring primary school children reach their national curriculum objectives for swimming and water safety.
I also work as a casual teacher for Everyone Active.
121 Lessons
I specialise in tailored learning – designing a bespoke swim programme that fits the specific needs of the adult or child. As well as thorough objective setting and lesson planning, I am constantly observing and making real-time adjustments to 121 lessons, depending on what is working for the swimmer and their needs.
I have a track record of helping adults who have struggled with aquaphobia. My friendly personality will put you at ease and together we will talk about your fears, grow your self-belief and help you feel positive about being in the water. I have basic hydrotherapy training and often include muscular-skeletal water exercises as part of my lessons. I also have a passion for stroke development and have guided many teens and adults to learn new strokes, swim more efficiently and train for triathlons.
121s are available at various locations, just drop me an email to discuss.
Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
Every individual deserves to learn to swim. SEND-qualified and neurodivergent myself, I am an advocate for true inclusivity. Studies show that children with additional needs are statistically at a higher risk of accidental drowning compared to their peers. I have supported swimmers with ADHD, autism, PDA, EBSA, emotional needs, selective mutism, social anxiety, sensory processing disorders, Downs Syndrome, hypermobility, clubfoot, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, developmental delays, hearing loss, speech and language needs and many other conditions and disabilities.
Swim Books
I’m an award-winning writer who creates swim books for kids! Check them out on Amazon.
Marketing and Communications
I have worked as a marketing professional since 2009 and for the last decade have ran my own marketing consultancy, representing a wide range of clients across arts, events and leisure. I am also a published, award-winning writer who has worked in print and digital journalism since 2013. I am available for marketing or editorial projects especially within the aquatics industry.

About Me
I live in Stratford-upon-Avon with my husband and young son. If I am not mum-ing or teaching you’ll more than likely find me in the deep end! I love indoor and outdoor swimming, diving, snorkelling, travelling, climbing, running and hiking. I swim with Stratford Sharks and take part in open water events but am not from a competitive swimming background – I believe that everyone can enjoy the benefits of swimming, irregardless of their ability!
Swim Qualifications
I am fully-qualified, fully-insured and a member of both national governing bodies for swimming, the STA (Swimming Teachers’ Association) and The Institute of Swimming / Swim England. I have enhanced DBS checks, am safeguarding trained and first-aid and water safety trained.
